Herbert & Henry (Jerod and Jamal Mixon) are twin brothers with dreams to become the biggest rap stars in the game. Their chance at super-stardom comes after they buy a T-shirt with a winning golden tag allowing them to perform with Real Deal, the most legendary rapper in the World. The only problem is, Kevin, an equally sized Jewish kid with dreams of singing and blinging, manages to steal the prized White T and has his own plans to perform at the concert. With the help of a gypsy, a goat, and cast of characters as big as Herbert and Henry's appetites, White T is a feel good urban adventure reminiscent of Dude Where's My Car, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

White T (2013) Reviews

  • I really wanted to like this

I really wanted to like this. The brothers are a pair of likable guys. They just have no script to work with. K-Dawg and Rodomski are broad characters who almost get laughs out of their laugh-less characters. But again, no script to work with. Gerry Bednob is the only one who gets any consistent laughs. Even Chyna is funny for the first minute or two. Then they ran out of things to have her say, but kept going anyway. There is no dramatic tension, really, which would be good to have. There is no finale, per se, the film just runs out. There are precious few laughs. At all. And whoever "wrote" the script basically just hates fat people. And apparently, so does the director. "Hey, I know, we'll just show fat bodies in hyper-slow-motion and it will be funny." That's sort of how I imagine the script meetings going. Gerry and the brothers will survive this mess, as I suppose the rest of the cast will. I would like to see Jason and Robbie in better roles. I think they deserve it. Avoid this turkey at all costs.

  • Not even a one-note joke movie because that requires the presence of one joke

    StevePulaski2014-11-20

White T is a gigantic cop-out of a movie because rather than actually creating humorous situations or allowing its characters to have personality and verbal wit, the screen writing succumbs to the lowest common denominator of comedy by going for the immediate joke - the weight of the film's two main characters. The film puts such an emphasis on the fact that the identical twins at the forefront of the film are indeed grossly overweight that one wonders how this film was pitched to its actors. With no characters, a vague hint of a story, and a monotonous array of jokes and gags simply erected on the basic features of its actors, White T is an odious mess in nearly every aspect of filmmaking. The film concerns Herbert and Henry Weatherspoon (Jerod and Jamal Mixon), two morbidly obese brothers who idolize a rapper by the name of Real Deal with their own hopes of becoming rappers. In order to get their chance to perform on stage with their favorite rapper, the two buy both of the freshest, cleanest white t-shirts in town in the only size they'll fit into, a 7XL. While the shirts only cost six dollars, the duo are convinced people will think they broke the bank buying the apparel for one of the hottest nights of their life. However, when a night of clubbing leads to the loss of the t-shirts, Herbert and Henry need to recover the shirts in hopes of even making it past the bouncers to enter the club where Real Deal performs. When the characters aren't actively recovering their missing attire, the film descends into a wayward assembly of crudity and despicable characters, like Faizon Love's disgusting impression of a Hispanic man or one of the film's female characters that are no better than the sum of their body parts. Racial stereotypes take prominence over any formal character interest, and the film is so disjointed in its plot and its characters that motivations become just as murky as the humor. The word for White T is discombobulated; a film with no sense of style, flair, direction, or itself. One couldn't even classify it as a stoner comedy because stoner comedies have to have some semblance of humor, which this particular film entirely lacks. Adding to its strangeness is how good the film looks in terms of a directorial standpoint, with tightly-framed, rather immaculate shots that aren't sloppy or blatantly indicative of a low budget, leading me to believe a solid amount of money was invested into the project. Given how pervasive jokes about the leading characters' weights are, it'd be understandable to refer to White T as a one-note joke movie, but even one-note joke movies have a joke in the first place. Starring: Jerod Mixon and Jamal Mixon. Directed by: Lance Frank.

  • MEN WHO TALK TO GOATS

Henry and Herbert (Jamal and Jerod Mixon) have entered an LA rap concert. Meanwhile a tee-shirt company is having a contest with a winning tee-shirt that has a gold tag. The contest was rigged and rapper Kevin (Robbie Kaller) was supposed to get the shirt, but our crew got there first. This film is star studded with seasoned actors and Eric Roberts playing a gay Ricardo. Neon Deion, Tone Loc, Chyna, Faizon Love, Tommy 'Tiny' Lister, and Tony Cox all have roles. The film consisted of a lot of fat jokes, fat guys like to eat, and some booty humor...all of which was juvenile in nature and execution. None of which was funny. The xenophobic bell hop was a real down point and some of the jokes were in bad taste such as when the detective said "go home and have fun with the wife and r******* kid." Yasmin Deliz shows off her legs. Parental Guide: F-bombs, no sex or nudity.

  • Funniest Movie of 2000's!

I just saw a sneak peek of White T from Prefect films. It is literally the funniest movie I've seen this decade. I can't wait to see it in theaters... Jerod and Jamal are stars and the director is AWESOME! The movie takes the viewer on a crazy journey. There is sci-fi, urban comedy and even a hint of curb your enthusiasm in there. The only thing I wish they did differently was show more Gerry Bednob. That guys is crazy. He plays a bell hop and at one point says "I was a doctor in my country. I wish I was a terrorist!" Everyone laughed hysterically. And Faizon Love as a Mexican>>>> Priceless. Feb 13th in theaters. funny!

  • similar to Harold & Kumar

Okay, I saw this last night at the midnight showing..... the first 45 minutes are solid; introduction of characters, story premise, locations, music, sound quality the whole nine yards. It's starts to tone down for about 15 minutes & then out of nowhere you're sent on a craze journey w/ a crazy goat..... and the story comes to a fast conclusion. The movie has a few things lacking, but honestly it is a sound production. If I were to assess between talent, cinematography and all things considered,I could put this into a 2-3 million caliber film without a doubt. music is on par with virtually anything out in the marketplace both indie & studio level.....respectively.
