Daughter of the King is an independent dramatic film with Christian and moral themes that follows Ashley Miller as she tries to rebuild her life and move beyond the mistakes she has made in the past. After serving her sentence for possession for the purpose of trafficking, Ashley tries to rebuild her life. However she is in over head in a large personal debt she owes and it is standing in her way. Due to her inability to pay her outstanding debt it is not long before she is sucked back into the world of drugs and finds herself addicted again. She is forced into a lifestyle of being a debt slave and working for Haydar who she owes money to. Under Haydar and his Assistant Angel's control Ashley now must work as a prostitute and trafficking drugs to work off her debt. While under their control Ashley is verbally abused and humiliated, lowering her self esteem to the point she feels she is worthless and deserves all that has happened to her. Definitely a good story
The Daughter of the King is a movie about human traffic and modern day slavery. I think the whole point of it is to make people realize that these things happen right in our backyards. So this particular story follows Ashley Miller who owes money to a ruthless gangster and in order to pay that debt she gets turned into a sex slave. Now she goes about as a prostitute, gets into all sorts of nasty situations and eventually she will have to pay for her mistakes and find her own road to redemption. Now personally, i'm not a fan of the "born again Christian thing" but I do respect it. To each his own. I think that anything that can make you a better person, be it religion, spirituality or something else is excellent. Evolution is the key here. Becoming a better person by being more open, more forgiving, more helpful and kinder to other human beings is the most important thing. So there you have it, my rating is based on that.
Moving story and on the mark!
Daughter of the King is an amazing and touching movie production. Speaking assomeone who has been touched by issues explored in this movie, I truly feel this movie will touch many lives. It took my breath away at points. The cast the crew along with the writer/director brought the entire story to life on a level that was so real to life. The movie blew me away and gave me shivers down my spin. I pulled for Ashley every step of the way. It was awesome and very moving. Right on the mark with the theme of grace and forgiveness. The story is scary, fighting, making you helpless and yet hopeful at the same time. This story crossed boarders and relates to all people regardless of background or culture. It truly is shining a light into darkness. It truly is very powerful.
