Quite timely warning about social media
This is a relevant lifetime thriller combining child abduction and the of social media on solving crime and becoming a victim. A pre occupied couple leave their young son in the care of their elder daughter. The boy goes missing in the park. The daughter uses cell phone pictures to help find the abductor. It's interesting how one can use modern technology to solve crime. The cops seem a little less than in charge here but it doesn't matter. The cast competent and the search is quite detailed and interesting to watch. A good warning about how much one can reveal in photos and posts to others.
Using Social Media To Track Down The Villain
David Chokachi, Brooke Butler and Natalia Livingston star in a Lifetime TV movie known as "Cyber Case".It is about solving a child abduction case using social media and the internet. Isabel is taking care of her three-year-old half brother Tommy. Then while they were together in the park, somebody abducted her brother in a single moment she took her eyes off her. This led to some hate within the family. This led her into being active in finding Tommy after the kidnapper posted the photos of Tommy on social media.Going through social media, the detectives and the family tried to hunt for the abductor until they finally recovered Tommy back. The use of social media was interesting in the cat-and-mouse game played by the family and the abductor.Unfortunately, the story just came too predictable as everyone knows that the abductor will be taken down as she gave her leads way too easily.Making her a mentally disturbed person made it excusable to become stupid.Added to that, the story just became too illogical and silly at times as the silly villain just proved to be extremely silly to the point of being unrealistic.Overall,it just lacked tension at all.

A child abduction film with a social media twist telling us to be careful as what we post online about ourselves. Isabel takes her three year old half brother Tommy to the playground in the park where he goes missing. However it seems this might have been more than a random abduction and Tommy might had been targeted. Isabel who feels guilty over the abduction and who also feels ignored by her mother and stepfather goes to her friends and use modern technology to find leads quicker than the police. As a made for television thriller some of the acting is on the broad side, the script maybe tries too hard to put up some red herrings but is not really thrilling and at times silly.
