This 'documentary' revolves around Rebecca, eager to renovate and move into the old family farmhouse. However, her family soon start to experience strange happenings within the house and call in the 'experts'. First of all, I'm struggling to really say anything about this 'documentary' (we'll call it that to keep up appearances) as it was just so uneventful. Distant tapping here and there, altered ambient sounds distorted to resemble ghostly voices, etc. The whole film is a stretch. It felt like a task to sit through the whole thing. There was no atmosphere, the camera work was shaky and made it difficult to follow/ watch. I have nothing good to say really, nothing particularly horrendous either. It just exists. Overall, don't waste your time.

  • Ghost bullets

There are some ridiculous parts, at one point a member of the ghost hunter team is walking room to room with a laser sighted pistol, I guess to shoot a ghost.

  • Another well done haunting investigated by Shippy

If you have seen Steven Shippy's Team's other investigations, then you will know that there is always an interview of the family. There is always historical input from community members and this is no different. My son is a film and screen studies major and a skeptic about most paranormal documentaries. He watched this and said that there are components that cannot be explained. Having law enforcement and community service workers stake their reputations on appearances made here lends credibility. Whether or not you believe in the paranormal, you have to believe that there are certain things that are unexplainable. Everyone must believe there is something bigger than themselves out there. Making light of the afterlife is dangerous. Don't mess with Oija boards and seances unless you are prepared for bad things to happen. As for "Finn Road", the property should be condemned. How disappointing and sad that so many heirlooms and treasures will be lost due to the families abandonment of the home. Until this documentary, Hell House was the scariest I've seen this team investigate. I like every taping for what they are and each location lends different experiences and results.

I love Stephen Shippy's documentary series. I thoroughly enjoyed every one of them, and, have told my friends to watch them as well. This one I felt was probably the lesser of all of them, aside from the first one. I think that it goes a little downhill whenever Shippy is talking smack to the ghost and encourages it to hit him, as opposed to picking on the medium. It sort of looks like he's trying to look like a rough guy. He has done a similar stunt like that in the past, but, I felt that it was just a little ridiculous. I strongly recommend checking out the whole film series and explore more in to your own city and seeing what is haunted.

  • Genuine confusion over poor reviews.

    albydover2019-04-10

This is my very first review on imdb for the simple fact that ratings simply don't reflect the quality of the presentation. I've watched each iteration of these paranormal investigations in Saginaw since their inception, and have always very much enjoyed their style. The fact that the team investigate a single location for months, rather than "lockdown" over night is so important, and while I'd love to get more content from them I'm happy with quality over quantity, and this has quality in spades. One reviewer states a scene shows *small spoiler* a team member entering the house with a gun to shoot a spirit with "ghost bullets", despite the fact that they clearly state the house was broken into while they weren't there, and the police were called and shown in the following scene inspecting where the front door had been forced open. This, coupled with multiple incidents of property damage and outside tampering, make me question whether this person was either too intellectually handicapped to realise all of this before writing a review, or just a plain liar (and I really can't fathom a logical reason for the latter). Hence the reason for my quick review/reaction. I guess this just shows that you really do have to watch things for yourself. I just hope this rating doesn't shape the team's approach to the production of their documentaries, because that would be a genuine shame. This investigation provided me with all the usual chills I've come to expect from the series, as well as some really intriguing scientific findings, testimony from credible sources putting their professional and personal credibility on the line, as well as some just plain perplexing occurrences. Obviously there's a level of suspense of belief and implicit trust that you have to have for the film maker, as with all programs on the subject. But if you have an open mind and you're not fearful of the possibilities of the unknown, I firmly believe you'll enjoy this year's investigation by Shippy.
